Welcome to the January 2025 news update for WARSURGE.

We will be at CANCON in January from the 25th to the 27th in Canberra. Check out our stall at the Budawang Trader Hall. Hope to see you there!

In the app department, we are still working on v1.9 of the app. There have been delays due to illness (2024 was not kind to us, let 2025 be a good one). This app update is important for a number reasons, and it will be our foundation for implementing new features such as alternative methods of saving data. We will have more information on the update as progress continues.

This month’s bounty is the Murder Circus. These entertainers have brought blood sport into their performance, making executions look like death defying stunts that are merely part of the act.

We are in the works of introducing a ‘PvE Scoreboard’ (title pending) to the Warsurge website. A concept inspired by Speedrunning in video games, the goal is for players to tackle Bounties and Narratives with the lowest Point Limit on their Roster as possible and win. For example, in a Bounty with a limit of 100pts, players might try to beat it with 80pts. If you can complete it with a low point limit and beat other players’ records, you’ll be able to email us your Roster for review (along with a brief story of what happened in your run) and to have your name on the site as a champion.

We have two new affiliates, TurnBase Miniatures has provided units we can use for photography in our historical and modern military themed Compendium. Eureka Miniatures have a range of models from ‘Pond Wars’ which we will provide profiles for to use in Warsurge. These affiliates can be found in the affiliates area of the Warsurge website:

Three new STLs are now available for download from MyMiniFactory: Bradley, Richard and Nicholas of Three Brothers Grim. Existing backers should already have them available in their library. We have also sent a notification via email.

Progress has been made on the Intermediate Battle Report, but it is still being worked on.

Models in the photo are Bradley, Richard and Nicholas of the Three Brothers Grim as STLs from our Rulebook Kickstarter.

-Bradley-

The eldest of the brothers, Bradley enjoys technology and ancient martial arts. Being a master hacker, he is able to control any artificial lifeforms in the vicinity and with his advanced gadgets seemingly disappear in an instant. He is adept with firearms, having a preference for pistols. Thanks to his in-depth knowledge of martial arts, he is able to masterfully wield his dual swords: the Demon Blades of the Ancient Immortal Dragon God.

-Richard-

Richard was taken to a world caught in a conflict between ancient magics and incredible technologies. Over a number of years he spent time with both sides of the conflict, acquiring new technological knowledge and studying various arcane powers. Being a diplomat for the two sides of the war, he managed to negotiate peace. Before reuniting with his brothers, he and some helpful creatures constructed a power suit that could augment his wizardry; a union of science and sorcery.

-Nicholas-

Nicholas was transformed when he entered the Omniverse. A normal enough man in his homeworld, he became the embodiment of physical perfection in every other realm. This blessing had its challenges; he had to learn to control his movements down to a 1000th of the precision he previously needed, for a simple muscle twitch could cause mass destruction. His greatest battle now is to contain his own power.

Stay tuned for more news!

- Richard
